Meet Dr. Munshi

Dr. Ilyas Munshi completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He completed his Neurosurgical Residency at the University of Chicago where he learned the clinical, surgical, and diagnostical skills that he needed to be a successful neurosurgeon.

In 2001 Dr. Munshi moved to Lafayette, LA to practice neurosurgery. Today, he continues to practice in Lafayette as one of the area’s leading neurosurgeons. In 2011, Dr. Munshi was named as one of Newsweek’s 15 leaders in Neurosurgery. Dr. Munshi specializes in brain, spine, and peripheral nerve surgery.
